Ashley M. Hart focuses her practice in Litigation.
Ms. Hart was drawn to legal studies while pursuing her master’s degree when she enrolled in a course called “Law and Science in Criminal Justice.” Her professors at the University at Albany and mentors in the community sparked her interest in the law, which led her to Albany Law School to complete her studies.
Prior to attending Albany Law School, Ms. Hart pursued a scientific education, earning a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at Vassar College and master’s degree in Forensic Biology at the University at Albany. Ms. Hart specialized in DNA analysis and trained many forensic scientists and lab technicians of the New York State Forensic Investigation Center. While still in school she continued her forensic work, creating and testing mock evidence kits for forensic investigators in training.
Upon graduation Ms. Hart began working in technology transfer with a fellowship in intellectual property. Ms. Hart continued to work with one of her law school mentors after graduation, drafting arguments which were heard before the Court of Appeals. She was attracted to litigation and that ultimately led her to focus her career in Workers’ Compensation Law before joining The Towne Law Firm, P.C. (TLF).
Ms. Hart was raised in the Capital District and currently resides in Albany, New York.
