For nearly 20 years, Jim Towne was an active member of the American Arbitration Association’s Construction and Commercial Panels of Arbitrators. Jim has served as an arbitrator on numerous matters ranging from minor construction disputes to matters involving publicly traded entities where millions of dollars in damages were sought.

Susan Bartkowski is a current member of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and serves as the Secretary to the Capital District NY Chapter.  She is also an active member of Associated General Contractors of New York State and presented at the 2015 Annual Meeting on Legal Issues in Labor Law, which analyzed recent NLRB case law impacting the construction industry.

Tom Burke, who has devoted nearly 50 years of practice to construction litigation and arbitration matters, still assists the firm with various complex construction law matters. Tom’s depth of experience is unmatched in the construction law field.  Mr. Burke was lead counsel on the landmark Green Island Construction v. New York State case over the construction of Interstate I-88.  Mr. Burke also represented Oneida County in its extensive multi-year arbitration matter involving the Oneida County Sewer District’s county wide sewer replacement project.
